Even before the Xperia XZ2 Premium- the latest in Sony’s XZ2 series is launched, we now have the full specifications and features of this premium upgrade to XZ2. Thanks to an accidental leak of the official video for this phone we know now, that the XZ2 glitters and impresses with a much better set of camera, display and battery than its predecessor!
A Stand out Camera Performance!
Continuing to make phones with a superior camera and photography options, the XZ2 Premium features a dual rear-camera with one being 19 MP, regular color sensor, ½.3 inch camera and the other being a 12 MP, 1/2.3 inch contrast camera. Clearly the camera capacity allows better performance in low light.
With the dual rear-camera technology the phone allows melding inputs from both cameras to capture photos at up to ISO 51,200 and videos at ISO 12,800. While Sony’s claim that XZ2 Premium can shoot pictures and videos at par with pro cameras is yet to be extensively tested, we do know that the phone can let you take better photos and videos in really low light. Then, the portrait mode and a 13 MP front camera are other plus points.
Better Screen & More RAM
The Xperia XZ2 Premium boasts of a bigger screen though- 5.8 inches with 30 percent more brightness and a superior battery-3540 mAh when compared to XZ2. The device runs on Android v8.0 and has 6 GB RAM whereas XZ2 runs on 4 GB RAM.
Repeat Features
In terms of many features the Xperia XZ2 premium presents an old dish in new bowl. The phone sticks to the XZ2 series design theme and has many of its features like a snapdragon 845 processor, 960 FPS slow-motion video capture and a 4K HDR video recording. Both the XZ and XZ2 are heavy handsets, and come out as a distinct disadvantage with these phones. The XZ2 weighs 191 g but the XZ2 Premium tops it up by weighing a whopping 236 grams.
